Introduction

Everdue ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal reminder app for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains how Everdue handles information when you use the app and when you visit our website at everdue.netlify.app.

Everdue is designed to be simple, private, and trustworthy. We believe your important life admin belongs to you — not on our servers.

Information we collect

The Everdue app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information to use the app.

All reminder data you enter — including titles, categories, expiry dates, notes, and optional photo or PDF attachments — is stored locally on your device only.

This website is a static site. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies. If you contact us by email, we will receive the information you choose to include in your message.

Your web hosting provider may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) as part of normal website operation. We do not access or use this data directly.

Data storage

Everdue stores your reminders on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Data is saved in a shared app group container on your device (used by Home Screen widgets when enabled) and remains under your control.

Optional attachments such as photos and PDFs are saved in the app's private Application Support directory on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere.

Everdue does not sync your data to the cloud. There is no backup service operated by us. You can export your reminders as a CSV file at any time from the app's Settings screen.

Home Screen widgets

Everdue offers optional Home Screen widgets that read your upcoming reminders from the same on-device store used by the app. Widget data is processed locally on your device and is not sent to us.

Notifications

Everdue uses Apple's local notification system to remind you before items expire. Each reminder gets one local notification at the lead time you choose. Notifications are scheduled on your device and are not sent through any external service.

With your permission, Everdue can also send an optional Weekly Calm Digest — a gentle Sunday summary of renewals coming up that week. This is a local notification only and can be turned off in Settings.

You control notification permissions through iOS Settings. You can enable or disable notifications for Everdue at any time.

Spotlight search

Everdue optionally indexes your reminder titles in iOS Spotlight so you can search for them from your device's home screen. This indexing happens locally on your device using Apple's CoreSpotlight framework. Indexed data is not transmitted to us or any third party.

Third-party services

The Everdue app does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or social media services. The app does not connect to the internet as part of its normal operation.

When you export a CSV backup, you choose where to save or share that file using iOS's standard Share Sheet. Any service you share with is governed by that service's own privacy policy.

Data export

You can export all your reminders as a CSV file from Settings at any time. The export is generated on your device and shared only through actions you initiate.

Data deletion

You can delete individual reminders within the app at any time. Deleting a reminder also removes any attachments linked to it. Deleting the Everdue app from your device will remove all locally stored reminder data. We do not retain copies of your data because we never receive it.

Children's privacy

Everdue is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.

Continued use of Everdue after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
