Frequently asked questions

What can I track in Everdue?

Everdue supports passports, driver's licences, car registrations, insurance policies, subscriptions, professional certifications, warranties, memberships, and custom items. Anything with an expiry date or renewal date works well.

How do I add my first reminder?

After completing onboarding, tap the add button on your dashboard. You can use a Quick Add template for common items like a passport or driver's licence, or create a custom reminder with your own title and category.

How do notifications work?

Everdue schedules one local notification per reminder at the lead time you choose, delivered at your preferred time of day in Settings > Notifications.

Make sure notifications are enabled for Everdue in iOS Settings > Notifications.

Is Everdue free?

Yes. Everdue is free with no subscription, no ads, and no in-app purchases.

Is my data private?

Yes. All your reminders are stored locally on your device. Everdue does not require an account, does not sync to the cloud, and does not include analytics or tracking. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I back up my reminders?

Go to Settings > Data > Export Backup to save a CSV file. To move to a new phone, import that file from Settings > Import Backup. Attachments stay on each device separately.

Are there Home Screen widgets?

Yes. Add an Everdue widget to see upcoming expiries at a glance. Tap a row to open that reminder in the app.

Can I change the app's appearance?

Yes. In Settings, you can choose Light, Dark, or System appearance. You can also select an accent colour and enable larger text for improved readability.

How do I renew or duplicate a reminder?

Open any reminder and tap Renew to update its expiry date, or Duplicate to create a copy. Both options are available on the reminder detail screen.

Why am I not receiving notifications?

Check that notifications are enabled for Everdue in iOS Settings. Also verify that the reminder's notification toggle is on and that the expiry date is far enough in the future for the selected lead time to apply.

Does Everdue work offline?

Yes. Everdue is fully offline. It does not require an internet connection to add, edit, or view your reminders.
